چکیده

With the rapid increase in proportion of installed wind power capacity total grid capacity, state has put forward higher and requirements for integration into grid, among which most difficult requirement is zero-voltage ride through (ZVRT) capability turbine. When voltage drops deeply, a series transient processes, such as serious overvoltage, overcurrent, or speed rise, will occur motor, seriously endanger safe operation turbine itself its control system, cause large-scale off-grid accident generator. Therefore, it great significance to improve uninterrupted ability Doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) can achieve best energy tracking wide range advantage flexible regulation. It widely used at present, but sensitive voltage. In current study, DFIG taken research object. The process during fault analyzed detail. mechanism rotor overcurrent DC bus overvoltage studied. Additionally, simulation model built DIgSILENT. active crowbar hardware protection circuit side turbine, extended observer terminal sliding mode are added converter control. Through cooperative technology, be suppressed realize ride-through doubly ensure stable farm. Finally, results presented verify theoretical analysis proposed strategy.

Proportional-Resonant Control of Doubly-Fed Induction Generator Wind Turbines for Low-Voltage Ride-Through Enhancement

A novel control strategy is proposed in this paper for the rotor side converter (RSC) of doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG)-based wind power generation systems. It is supposed to enhance the low-voltage ride-through (LVRT) capability of DFIGs during great-level grid voltage dips. The strategy consists of a proportional-resonant (PR) controller and auxiliary PR controllers. The auxiliary cont...

Efficient low-voltage ride-through nonlinear backstepping control strategy for PMSG-based wind turbine during the grid faults

This paper presents a new nonlinear backstepping controller for a direct-driven permanent magnet synchronous generator-based wind turbine, which is connected to the power system via back-to-back converters. The proposed controller deals with maximum power point tracking (MPPT) in normal condition and enhances the low-voltage ride-through (LVRT) capability in fault conditions. In this method, to...

Low Voltage Ride-Through Capability Improvement of Doubly Fed Induction Generator using DVR and SMES

Abstract: With the growth of communities and the increasing need for electricity, and because of the many benefits of renewable energy sources, the wind turbine has become a completely commercial and inevitable process, with increasing penetration into the electricity grid. Distribution networks, on the other hand, are subject to fault that cause power fluctuations and outflow of wind units. In...

High Voltage Ride Through with FACTS for Wind Turbines with Doubly Fed Induction Generator

In future grid codes wind farms will have to fulfill demanding fault ride through requirements. Among several grid faults the voltage swell is a critical event. Wind farms with doubly-fed induction generators will not be able to fulfill the new grid code requirements without additional fault mitigation equipment. In this publication the applicability of the Dynamic Voltage Restorer and the Stat...

Unbalanced-Grid-Fault Ride-Through Control for a Doubly Fed Induction Generator Wind Turbine with Series Grid-Side Converter

The grid codes now require doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) wind turbines having the “low voltage ride-through (LVRT)” capability. However, a traditional DFIG with a partially rated back-to-back converter has inherent difficulties to ride through the grid faults, especially for the unbalanced grid faults. Modifications to the traditional DFIG configuration for ride-through have become nece...
